The carpet was badly stained and dirty.

Overall hotel was OK. The fact that the carpet was so dirty gave the overall feel that it wasn't the cleanest.

Perfect location near beaches and the coast in Encinitas. They were amenable to giving a room on the quiet side of the hotel (i.e. away from freeway). I found used Kleenex on the floor behind the nightstand, when I was looking for an electric plug for cell phone. Bathtub had fresh towels and folded mat, but a ring from bath. Right above the I-5 noisy highway, but with a long range view toward the ocean.

Well kept, clean and comfortable hotel with good breakfast with fresh pastries and fruit, and waffles and exploding eggs microwaved a hard boiled egg by mistake, the pool is well located beside the interstate and close to the beaches.
